the nicest thing about going to mayfield is collecting the cheese from alsop & walker ... the mayfield cheese on the racks is matured for six months and is probably the best cheese you'll ever taste

having visited lieutenant crundwell at groombridge ( see below ), i stopped to say "hullo" to the ghost of lieutenant john kipling at burwash, and found a small embroidery among the flowers at the foot of the pinnacle
